Welcome to OurHsinchu. We've put this web site up in an attempt to provide a little information and to entertain. Enjoy.
Hsinchu is the 10th largest city in Taiwan with a population of about a half million. It's best know as the home of Hsinchu Science Park, "The Silicon Valley of the East". It's also home to two of Taiwan's most prestigious Universities. Each weekend there is a huge exodus of the young and single to either their hometown or to the excitement of the big city.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on the web about Hsinchu, not from a curious Westerner's point of view, anyway. This site is an effort to introduce our city to people who are considering moving here or who are new in town.
